Fear, Doubt, Worry And Faith

FEAR is DOUBT or DOUBT is FEAR, I happen to think they are close to being the same. Do you fear growing old? I don’t. I just don’t want to grow old before I should, I might GROW OLD but I refuse to GROWN UP! I want to enjoy life to its fullest. I love to laugh even if it is at myself. Living with me is like being in a circus. I have been told that smiling and laughing causes wrinkles. That’s OK, I think it would be alright to have wrinkles caused by smiles and laughter rather than worry, stress and frowns. I have heard it said, smile and everyone will wonder what you’re up to! Why fear when Jesus said in Mat_6:34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. Ever notice if you smile most people will smile back. Unless they are bitter inside or have been baptized in pickle juice! Joh_10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
Do you fear dying? I don’t. I have known of some people that die at 35 years old or even younger, but aren’t buried for another 35 years. You might not agree with me but fearing death shows you are not ready to meet God. When I was young and lived with my parents I looked forward to Dad getting home from work UNLESS I had been bad. Ever heard this, Just wait till your father gets home? We should not worry about meeting our Father unless we know he is displeased with us. Read these scriptures to see why I believe this. Gen 3:10 and he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself. 1Jn_4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. Now don’t get me wrong, I don’t look forward to the sting of death but because of Christ’s work on the cross I don’t fear death. My dad told me at an early age, “A coward dies a thousand deaths”. Hey, we don’t mind to talk about dying. I have had some tell me how, where and when they want to die. I have even said “I want to die like my grandfather. In my sleep and at peace, not kicking and screaming like the others in the car with him”! There are many things that can cause our death such as accidents, disease and wars. However there are only two ways a person can leave this world. Job 21:23 One dieth in his full strength, being wholly at ease and quiet. Job 21:25 And another dieth in the bitterness of his soul, and never eateth with pleasure.
Now, can we think about WORRY? FEAR is worry’s greatest fuel. Worry is kindled and fueled by a continuous supply of fear, doubt, and indecision. Fear continuously supplies everything needed to keep worry blazing. FEAR is the opposite of FAITH. If Satan can make you live in fear he has control over you. Did you know the first emotion that man felt AFTER they sinned against God was FEAR, Gen_3:10 And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself. 1Jn_4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. Just for reference read in the Bible Job 3:25 For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me. Heb_11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Greek meaning of substance is hoop-os'-tas-is: Assurance, confidence. Greek meaning of hoped for el-pid'-zo: Expect, trust.
Luk_12:22 And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought (worry) for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on. One last thought for this Sunday. Mat_10:31 Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows. Luk_2:10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. Take no thought means don’t worry.
I would like for you to remember this; “We don’t know what tomorrow holds, but we KNOW who holds tomorrow”. God bless, now GO to church and give the Devil a black eye!
